Andrew PotterGlobal Head of Brand Identity – NokiaGreater Things brought a can do attitude to what was a very challenging timescale. We were super impressed with their ability to collaborate with other agency partners, critical for the rebranding effort. Reinvent Nokia? Challenge accepted
When Nokia challenged us to help them pull off one of the biggest, surprise rebrands of the decade there was only one response we could give, yes please!
The driving force behind the rebrand was clear. It was time to shake off any lingering perception of Nokia being ‘the mobile phone company’ and stake their claim once and for all as the pioneers of future and cloud networks. And what better place to premier their bold, digital-first identity than the biggest and most prestigious event in their customers calendar, Mobile World Congress.
A top secret rebrand
Shh… new brand in progress
The challenge of pulling off a top secret rebrand in a matter of months however was anything but simple.
That’s when we and a small cohort of trusted agencies rolled up our sleeves and got busy. Working closely with the brand team to bring the brand to life by developing new styles, techniques, and experiences to work across their events and digital platforms. Creating new flagship content from scratch as well as helping them to sweat their assets by reimagining reusable collateral into this brave new style.
